Real time inventory tracking

Bergendahls is one of the largest grocers in Sweden with businesses within fashion, consumer goods, home and leisure. The reactive web application gives real time tracking of pallets distribution and awareness of warehouses supply providing efficiency in the decision making. 

Warehouse management

During the pandemic in 2020, Bergendahls had a huge increase in the grocery sales online, which made its warehouses really busy to make sure they have enough supply to the retail stores.

The Pallet Tracking App developed with Indigo helps to provide an easy way to monitor and report the pallet inventory at each warehouse, giving centralized and up to date information for decision making and the efficiency of the associated logistics processes.

Team participation

With progressive handover of responsibility, Indigo conveyed the needed information and experience in order to leverage de power of Outsystems and Agile methodology to the client technical team. The reactive web app was developed with co-staffing, providing the training and skills development of the client internal development team.

About Bergendahls

Bergendahls Food runs the retail trade through City Gross that was founded in 1993 and consists today of 42 supermarkets. All stores have store-cut Swedish meat, manual fish counters, their own shop bakeries, the country’s widest assortment of foodstuffs, a vast range of in-house items, home and leisure, as well as a supermarket assortment for traders.

Through wholesale trade and the distribution centre in Hässleholm, Bergendahls Food is a wholesaler for independent traders. Included here is also the concept of Matöppet, which consists of trader-owned convenience stores and a unique collaboration with those stores included in the successful Den Svenska Matrebellen.
